La Chandeleur is a traditional celebration of one of the aspects of the Christmas season held in the beginning of February, the blessing of the candles to be used throughout the year, commemorating the light that Christmas brings into the world.  The traditional food for this celebration is crèpes, a very thin and light type of pancake which is usually filled with sugar, syrup, fruit, or jam.  Mr. Maidment is the master crèpe maker.  Students enjoyed several ways to flavor their crèpes.
