In Mrs. Banas’s Sociology class, students here take a trip back in time to the sinking of the Titanic. Students were assigned a role (doctor, factory worker, mother, Army Captain, etc.) and had to select 4 individuals to place on a lifeboat. Since the class is studying social stratification, students had interesting discussions about wealth, power, and prestige in determining who should survive the Titanic disaster.
